Mariposa 650B Touring
This bike was recently built using classic parts from the seventies. Many riders still prefer non indexed derailleurs and those used here are maybe the best of the friction type. The Mafac centre-pull brakes are very powerful and allow the fitting of wider tires and fenders. 650B wheels and tires have recently become popular again. These are built with classic Maxicar hubs and Super Champion rims. Neither component has been made for several years. This is a comfortable and lively touring bike in the classic tradition.
