1972 Mariposa Paris-Roubaix

Here are a few pictures of a Mariposa that we built in 1972. Although the Campagnolo P-R derailleur was by then twenty years out of date there were still a few devotees. We were asked to build this one and it was much appreciated by its original owner. However in 2001 he decided that he wasn't going to ride it anymore and would like to give it back to me. In 2004 I took it to Italy and rode it in the Eroica event. This is an event for vintage bikes over the rough gravel roads of Tuscany. The event commemorates the strong bike racing history of the region.
